At OTAMERICA, we continue advancing an ambitious expansion project at the Puerto Rosales Storage Terminal, strengthening its role as a strategic hub for crude oil transportation in Argentina. This project enables the terminal to become the main export outlet for national crude oil, particularly from Vaca Muerta, to international markets.

Safety tips for boaters: To navigate the estuary safely, it is essential to: inspect the vessel before departure, ensuring all required safety equipment is functional (life jackets, fire extinguishers); check weather and navigation conditions and keep documentation up to date; the Argentine Naval Prefecture establishes maritime safety regulations and recommendations, including respecting restricted areas and crew responsibility.

OTAMERICA’s terminal in Puerto Rosales achieved a new milestone in national energy logistics by receiving the Seaways Pecos, the first Suezmax-class vessel to operate at the company’s newly inaugurated dock. With a length of 274 meters, a beam of 48 meters, and sailing under the Marshall Islands flag, the Seaways Pecos is operated by U.S.-based International Seaways and will load 114,000 cubic meters of crude oil from Vaca Muerta destined for the United States.
